Mumbai/IBNS, May 8 -- India's cricket captain and an icon, Rohit Sharma, on Wednesday announced his retirement from the longest format of the sport, Tests.
Rohit stepped down from red-ball cricket in the shadow of his struggling phase in Australia where he opted out of the final Tests against the hosts.
Over 67 Tests, he scored 4,301 runs at an average of 40.57, including 12 centuries and a career-best 212.
