Tehran/IBNS, Nov. 18 -- Indians will no longer be able to enter Iran without a visa from November 22, as Tehran has suspended its visa-free facility in response to a surge in fraud, trafficking, and exploitation cases involving Indian travellers.
Iran had introduced the waiver in February 2024 to boost tourism, but authorities say the provision was increasingly misused by agents who lured Indians with fake job offers or false promises of onward travel to other countries.
