India, Sept. 20 -- Indian and Canadian officials met on Friday when they reviewed the state of bilateral ties between the two countries, marking an improvement in the strained relationship over the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

The consultation was led by officials of the Ministry of External Affairs of India and Global Affairs Canada held pre-Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) in New Delhi.

The pre-consultations follow the bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Mark Carney on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Canada, on 17 June 2025.
