Mumbai, Aug. 29 -- Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and Meta Platforms Inc. have announced a joint venture to develop and scale enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for Indian businesses and select overseas markets.
The partnership, unveiled on Friday, will see an initial investment of about Rs.855 crore (US$100 million), with Reliance holding a 70% stake and Meta 30%. The joint venture, expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025 subject to regulatory approvals, will be powered by Meta's open-source Llama models and Reliance's extensive digital and enterprise reach.
