India, Dec. 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared glimpses of Guwahati's new terminal at Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport, highlighting it as India's first airport terminal designed around a nature theme.
Spread across nearly 1.4 lakh square metres, the state-of-the-art terminal has been designed to handle up to 1.3 crore passengers annually and is supported by extensive upgrades to the runway, airfield systems, aprons and taxiways.
The redevelopment also includes major upgrades to runways, taxiways, and advanced airfield systems, aimed at improving operational efficiency and passenger experience.
