Shimla, Aug. 19 -- At least 30 people have died and several others were missing as rain triggered massive damages to roads and buildings in several parts of North India over the weekend.

Flood alerts have been issued for Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

Rivers like Yamuna are swelling to dangerous levels.

Majority of the damage was reported from the two worst-hit states - Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand - as heavy rains remained unabated through the Himalayan belt, reported Hindustan Times.
