Pune, March 22 -- A 38-year-old man in Maharashtra's Pune allegedly murdered his three-and-a-half-year-old son over suspicion that his wife was in an extra-marital relationship, media reports said.
Himmat's body was found in a forested area in Pune's Chandan Nagar area with his throat slit, reported NDTV.
Originally from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Madhav Tiketi and his wife Swaroopa had been living in Pune.
According to the police, the couple had a heated argument on Thursday afternoon, after which Madhav stormed out, taking their son with him.
CCTV footage provided crucial leads in the investigation.
Using mobile tracking, police traced him to a lodge, where he was found heavily intoxicated.
