India, Nov. 9 -- Gurdaspur/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday thanked his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan for "understanding and respecting India's sentiments" and putting efforts to open the Kartarpur Corridor, the crossborder pathway, which will allow the Sikh pilgrims in India visit Gurudwara Kartapur Sahib in Pakistan. PM Modi inaugurated Kartarpur corridor today.

"Kartarpur Sahib Corridor will now ease the movement of Sikh pilgrims to the pilgrimage site," he said and added, "it is indeed a great moment for me to dedicate the corridor ahead of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev."
