New Delhi/IBNS, March 31 -- President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Eid-ul-Fitr, which is one of the main Islamic festivals, marks the culmination of the month-long fasting of Ramadan.
It is celebrated worldwide.
As per the Muslim traditions, Muhammad started the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
As per various reports and accounts, the festival started after Muhammad migrated from Mecca to Medina.
Among other administrative people who wished people, especially Muslims, on the occasion are Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
