New Delhi/IBNS, Sept. 6 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will skip the general debate at a special session of the United Nations General Assembly scheduled to be held later this month in New York City, media reports said.
The 80th session of the UNGA will begin on September 9 with Brazil as the traditional first speaker followed by the United States.
India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will address the session on September 27.
Earlier, Modi was scheduled to address the session on September 26.
US President Donald Trump will deliver his address on September 23.
