India, April 27 -- Pakistan on Sunday claimed its security forces killed 54 'terrorists' who tried to enter the country through the northwestern border with Afghanistan.
According to Pakistan's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), this is the highest-ever number of terrorists killed by security forces in a single engagement throughout the campaign against terrorism.
"On night 25/26 and 26/27 April 2025, [the] movement of a large group of khwarij, who were trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was detected by the security forces in [the] general area [of] Hassan Khel, North Waziristan District," ISPR said in a statement as quoted by Dawn News.
