India, Dec. 24 -- A Pakistani court on Monday sentenced two individuals to 22 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed fines totaling Rs 550,000 on charges of blasphemy.

The case was filed following a complaint lodged on July 17, 2024, and registered at Kameer Police Station under FIR No. 710/24 in the Sahiwal district, according to Dawn News.

The FIR noted that the alleged blasphemy incident occurred on July 17, 2024, but the case was officially registered four months later, supported by testimonies from two local witnesses.
