India, April 2 -- A gun attack in Pakistan's Dhoda area on Tuesday left at least one police official injured, media reports said.

Police told Dawn News that constable Masood Khan sustained bullet injuries when two masked men opened fire on him.

He was shifted to the Government City Hospital for treatment.

"Though I was injured in the attack I retaliated with my rifle and forced the assailants to flee leaving behind their motorcycle," he claimed.

He said he had no enmity with anyone and that he was attacked by the terrorists affiliated with banned TTP for being employed in the police department.

Police have began an investigation into the incident after a case was lodged.
