India, Oct. 7 -- At least six people were injured after Jaffar Express was targeted by an IED blast in Pakistan's Sultankot area, close to the Sindh-Balochistan border on Tuesday.

According to reports, suspected terrorists had planted the explosives on the track.

Multiple coaches of the train were derailed.

Six passengers, including a child, sustained minor injuries and were shifted to a hospital, Dunya News reported.

Authorities told the Pakistani media that the train was passing near Sultan Kot when the blast took place.

The bomb disposal squad has collected evidence to ascertain the exact nature of the explosive.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
