India, Jan. 30 -- The first direct flight between Pakistan and Bangladesh in 14 years landed at Jinnah International Airport on Thursday night, marking a historic journey of a Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane from Dhaka to Karachi.

The flight, BG341, departed Dhaka at 8:15 pm and arrived in Karachi at 11:03 pm, according to FlightRadar24. The aircraft was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute upon arrival.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) took to X to announce the resumption of flights: "A long-awaited return-PIA welcomes our brothers from #Bangladesh with pride and warmth."
