India, May 2 -- US Vice President JD Vance on Thursday reacted to the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir and said he hopes Pakistan would cooperate with India in hunting down the terrorists involved in the incident.
He also hoped that India would respond to the incident carefully to avoid any broader regional conflict.
Vance pointed out that sometimes terrorists operate in Pakistani territories.
"We hope, frankly, that Pakistan, to the extent that they're responsible, cooperates with India to make sure that the terrorists sometimes operating in their territory are hunted down and dealt with," he said.
After the Pahalgam attack, JD Vance had called Indian PM Narendra Modi to condemn the incident.
