New Delhi/IBNS, Jan. 30 -- V. Srinivasan, the husband of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president and Rajya Sabha MP P. T. Usha, passed away in the early hours of Friday, media reports said. He was 67.

A former central government employee, Srinivasan was known to be a strong pillar of support for P.T. Usha throughout her illustrious sporting career and later during her public and political life.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to P.T. Usha and conveyed his condolences over the loss.
