India, June 15 -- More than 2,000 "No Kings Day" protests were held across US cities on Saturday to protest against the Trump administration and to counter the military parade in Washington, D.C., media reports said.

As per ABC News, more than 5 million people participated in these protests.

The protest against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids, which started in LA last week, has now spread to other cities across the US, including New York City, San Francisco, Boston, and Austin, Texas.

As the protest escalated, a person was critically injured in a shooting "possibly associated" with a demonstration in downtown Salt Lake City, police said.
