India, Oct. 14 -- Rama Duwaji, wife of New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, publicly mourned the death of Palestinian social media figure Saleh al-Jafarawi, who was killed in Gaza on October 12, 2025, during clashes between Hamas and rival factions.

Saleh al-Jafarawi, aged 27-28, was shot dead while reportedly covering armed confrontations in Gaza City's Sabra neighbourhood.

Multiple sources indicate he was killed by members of an armed militia linked to Israel, possibly the Doghmush clan, during clashes with Hamas forces.
