India, Dec. 10 -- Indian-American influencer Priya Patel has sparked controversy after posting a video online urging the U.S. government to restrict immigration from "third world" countries, claiming that "not all cultures are equal."

Patel, whose social media activity suggests she supports the MAGA movement, said in the video: "Not all cultures are equal. There, I said it. Guess what? All people are created equal under the eyes of God and the law, but not all cultures are equal."

She added that some cultures "embrace things like slavery, underage marriage, polygamy, [and] human sacrifice," and questioned why the United States should allow individuals from such backgrounds to immigrate.
