India, Nov. 16 -- Nitish Kumar is set to remain the Chief Minister of Bihar, with the formation of the new National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government expected within the next three days, NDTV reported, quoting sources.

The decision follows the finalisation of the cabinet formula at a meeting between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and alliance leaders.

The event is expected to be a significant display of political strength ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections.

The NDA secured a massive mandate in the Bihar elections, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerging as the single-largest party with 89 seats, followed closely by the JDU with 85 seats.

Smaller allies such as the LJP(RV), HAM, and RLM also performed well.
