Patna, Feb. 12 -- The Janata Dal (United)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) alliance is set to win the Bihar floor test on Monday, days after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took another political somersault in the eastern state of India.

The ruling coalition has 128 of 243 members while 122 is the majority mark.

The opposition, led by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, have 114 seats in total.

Nitish, who was the architect of the opposition front INDIA, surprised his allies by jumping ship and joining the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance or NDA.

He had hoped to be chosen as the leader of the opposition alliance.
