India, Aug. 30 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday arrived in China after a gap of seven years, where he will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Tianjin.

After arriving in China, Modi wrote on X: "Landed in Tianjin, China. Looking forward to deliberations at the SCO Summit and meeting various world leaders."

Before leaving for Japan and China visit, Modi said: " India remains committed to working with the SCO members to address shared challenges and deepen regional cooperation. I also look forward to meeting President Xi Jinping, President Putin and other leaders on the sidelines of the Summit."
