India, Feb. 12 -- Indian PM Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron jointly inaugurated the Indian Consulate in Marseille city of France on Wednesday.

Modi earlier in the day said the new consulate will increase people-to-people linkages between the two countries.

Modi is currently on a three-day visit to France.

He attended the AI Action Summit in Paris on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, Modi visited the Mazargues War Cemetery, Marseille, and paid tributes to soldiers who died in the First and Second World Wars.
