India, Nov. 11 -- Bollywood actor Dharmendra's daughter Esha Deol on Tuesday confirmed that her father was stable and recovering, negating multiple media reports and social media posts that claimed he was dead.

"The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa's speedy recovery," she posted on Instagram.
