Kolkata/IBNS, March 12 -- Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM has announced that the party will contest in all 294 assembly seats in West Bengal, which will head to the assembly elections next year.

The announcement was made by AIMIM spokesperson Imran Solanki, who held a press conference in Kolkata on Tuesday.

In reference to the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he said, "They are two sides of the same coin as they come to power using Muslim votes. But do nothing for us. There is no university in Murshidabad (a district with a sizeable Muslim population).
