New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- Indian opener Murali Vijay on Monday announced his retirement from all formats of the game.

With his announcement, the cricketer ended his 16-year long career.

Playing 61 Tests, he scored 3982 runs for India.

"Today, with immense gratitude and humility, I announce my retirement from all forms of international cricket," the cricketer said in a statement.
