India, Aug. 3 -- A police constable has been arrested for allegedly misbehaving with women passengers while being drunk in the ladies' compartment of a local train in Mumbai, media reports said.

The incident took place on Saturday afternoon in the Borivali-Vasai slow local train.

The accused constable has been identified as Amol Kishore Sapkale, who has been posted with the Mira Bhayander and Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate.

He was in his khaki uniform, a video shot by one of the passengers showed.

Eventually, some women forced him out of the coach and lodged a complaint with the station master.

Vasai Road Railway Police officials then reached the spot and took Sapkale into custody.
