India, Jan. 13 -- Security forces were placed on high alert after multiple drones were spotted along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Doonga Gali area of the Keri sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Tuesday.

According to media reports, the Army responded swiftly to the sightings, firing shots at the hovering drones in an attempt to bring them down and launching an extensive search operation to check for possible weapon or contraband drops.

Notably, this is the first time since Operation Sindoor in May last year that multiple drones have been detected across the LoC and IB within a short span of days.
