India, July 1 -- Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's application for trademark 'Captain Cool' has been accepted, media reports said.

Dhoni, who is one of the most celebrated Indian cricketers, had filed the application on June 5.

The Trademark Registry now shows the application as "accepted and advertised".

Dhoni has been inducted to the ICC Hall of Fame, in another feather in the cap of the country's World Cup winning skipper.

Celebrated for his calm under pressure and unmatched tactical nous, but also a trailblazer in the shorter formats, Dhoni's legacy as one of the game's greatest finishers, leaders and wicketkeepers has been honoured with his induction into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
