India, Oct. 18 -- At least three Indian nationals died after a launch boat carrying crew members of a tanker capsized during a crew transfer operation off the coast of Beira port in central Mozambique.

The incident happened on Friday when crew members were transferred to a vessel anchored offshore.

The Indian High Commission in the country said five Indians remain missing following the mishap.

The Commission said 14 Indian nationals were present in the launch when the mishap occurred.

"A launch boat carrying crew members of a tanker including 14 Indian nationals capsized during crew transfer operations off Beira port in central Mozambique," the statement said.
