India, Nov. 24 -- PMNarendra Modi met his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni in South Africa on Sunday on the sidelines of the G20 Summit, when they adopted the 'India-Italy Joint Initiative to Counter Financing of Terrorism'.
As per an Indian government-issued statement, the initiative aims to deepen bilateral cooperation on countering terrorism and collaboration in global and multilateral platforms including the Financial Action task Force( FATF) and the Global Counter terrorism Forum (GCTF).
Both leaders had last interacted briefly on the sidelines of G7 Summit in Kananaskis in Canada earlier in June this year.
