India, Dec. 24 -- A fresh wave of violence against Bangladesh's Hindu community has come to light, with miscreants allegedly setting a Hindu family's house on fire in the Chattogram region, killing their pets and destroying household belongings, media reports said.
The incident comes amid heightened tensions in the politically unstable nation, days after the mob killing of a Hindu man triggered widespread international condemnation.
According to reports, a threatening banner was found near the site of the arson attack, warning members of the Hindu community and accusing them of engaging in so-called anti-Islamic activities. The banner allegedly ordered them to halt their movements and gatherings immediately.
