Mumbai/IBNS, Dec. 17 -- The Indian stock market ended Wednesday on a negative note, with BSE Sensex falling 120 points and NSE Nifty 50 closing below 25,850. Sensex settled at 84,559.65, while Nifty finished at 25,818.55.

Among sector movers, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints, and Titan were top losers, while shares of Maruti, TCS, Tata Steel, Reliance, and Bharti Airtel witnessed gains.

Meanwhile, dialysis service provider Nephrocare Health Services made a strong stock market debut, listing at a premium of about 7%. The shares debuted at Rs.491.70 on the BSE (6.8% premium) and Rs.490 on the NSE (6.52% premium), according to CNBC-TV18.
