New Delhi/IBNS, Nov. 13 -- The stock market ended the business with marginal gains after volatile trading throughout the day on Thursday, media reports said.

BSE Sensex ended with a gain of 12 points to close at 84,478.67 while Nifty surged only four points to call it a day at 25,879.15.

The stocks which were among the top gainers were Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, PowerGrid, L&T and Bajaj Finserv.

Reliance, Kotak Bank, Titan, HDFC Bank and SBI were among the laggards.
