Kolkata/IBNS, June 12 -- West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari carried a Tulsi plant and led other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs from state assembly to Raj Bhavan (Governor's House) seeking Governor CV Ananda Bose's intervention in the Maheshtala communal clash.
The BJP MLAs had also gone down to the well of the assembly protesting against the clash, which rocked Maheshtala on Wednesday.
Adhikari on Thursday moved the Calcutta High Court seeking permission to visit violence-hit Maheshtala in the South 24 Parganas district of the state.
The violence occurred near the Rabindranagar Police Station in the Budge Budge area of South 24 Parganas.
