India, March 29 -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale hit Myanmar's capital, Naypyidaw city on Saturday, a day after a deadly 7.7 magnitude quake rocked the country, leaving 1,000 people dead.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake occurred at a depth of 10 km.
The extent of the damage caused by the latest earthquake is still not clear.
The latest quake occurred when authorities were trying to rebuild roads.
The death toll due to the deadly earthquake that rocked Myanmar on Friday has crossed 1000, media reports said on Saturday.
