Bhopal, May 20 -- The Madhya Pradesh government is likely to cancel its contract with Turkish defence company Asis Guard, working on the digital systems for the Bhopal and Indore Metro projects, amid allegations that drones manufactured by the firm were used by Pakistan during anti-India operations, including Operation Sindoor, media reports said.

The company has come under scrutiny for its suspected indirect involvement in activities deemed hostile to India's national interests, according to an India Today report.

State minister Kailash Vijayvargiya confirmed that the issue was being examined closely and that an investigation had been ordered.
