Kolkata/IBNS, Nov. 19 -- The Kolkata Police on Tuesday announced that the sixth edition of the Kolkata Police Safe Drive Save Life Half Marathon (KPSDSL) will now serve as an official qualifier for the World Masters Athletics Championships 2026, to be held in Daegu, South Korea, from August 22 to September 3, 2026.

The race, organised by the Kolkata Police in association with the Transport Department of West Bengal and promoted by Gamechangerz, will be held on January 18, 2026.

Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Kumar Verma, IPS, said the initiative reflects the city's commitment to discipline and community responsibility.
