Kolkata/IBNS, Aug. 9 -- A mega march to the state secretariat Nabanna will be held in Kolkata on Saturday rekindling the protests against the RG Kar rape-murder incident that completes a year, media reports said.

People at midnight on Saturday gathered at various locations of Kolkata as a part of "Reclaim the Night" movement that had rocked the city after the crime had been uncovered last year.

West Bengal Leader of Opposition and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) strongman Suvendu Adhikari has extended support to the Nabanna Abhiyan.

Adhikari is expected to join the march without any party banner or flag.

Various entry points to Howrah have been blocked as police tightened the security in and around Nabanna.
