India, July 23 -- State-government aided Vivekananda College, Thakurpukur, recently earned an A+ Grade accreditation from NAAC, awarded with a commendable CGPA of 3.28.
This honour comes at a time of special significance as the college is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee year.
The college was originally established on August 21, 1950. It was once known as Barisha College.
"However, following rigorous DVV clarification and online re-evaluation, the score was rightfully upgraded to A+ on 18th July 2025 - a moment of immense pride for the entire college fraternity," the college said in a statement.
The college is offering 23 undergraduate and 4 postgraduate programs across the disciplines of Science, Humanities, and Commerce.
