India, Jan. 26 -- The Republic Day celebration in Kolkata had a unique participant in the form of Indian Army's robotic dogs 'MULE' (Multi Utility Legged Equipment) which stole the show on Sunday.

These robotic dogs are named 'Sanjay'.

According to reports, MULE is an all-weather ground robot dog.

These robots can climb stairs, steep hills, and cross hurdles.

The dogs are capable of carrying a payload of 15 kgs.

They can be operated in extreme weather conditions ranging in temperature from -40 degrees to 55 degrees Celsius.

The Indian Army has so far inducted 100 robotic dogs in various units, officials told NDTV.
