Kolkata/IBNS, April 26 -- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) set a mammoth target of 262 runs for Punjab Kings (PBKS) with KKR batters Sunil Narine and Phil Salt managed to set the highest opening-stand of 138 runs off just 63 balls in the IPL 2024 session at the Eden Gardens here on Friday (Apr 26).

Earlier, PBKS skipper Sam Curran won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Batting first, KKR scored 261 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Besides Phil Salts 75 off 37 and Sunil Narines 71 off 32, Venkatesh Iyers 39 off 23, Russells 24 off 12 and skipper Shreyas Iyers quicker 10-ball 28-run innings helped KKR to reach a huge total of 261 runs.
