London, April 27 -- King Charles will resume public appearances next week following encouraging progress in his cancer therapy, Buckingham Palace said on Friday.

Although he wont fully resume official duties just yet, the palace has been optimistic.

The King has been absent from his customary royal public engagements since undergoing a procedure for an enlarged prostate and his cancer diagnosis in February.

The Kings itinerary kicks off next Tuesday with a symbolic visit to a cancer treatment facility.

His upcoming schedule includes hosting the Emperor and Empress of Japan during a state visit, with additional external engagements planned in the near future, according to the palaces statement.

His Majesty The King will shortly return...
