India, Sept. 17 -- US-based Khalistani outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has threatened to 'siege' the Indian consulate in the Canadian city of Vancouver on Thursday, media reports said.
In a statement allegedly published by the group and now circulating online, SFJ has asked Indo-Canadians planning to visit the consulate to choose an alternative date.
The group also released a poster featuring the new Indian High Commissioner, Dinish Patnaik, on which a target mark has been created on his face.
"Two years ago -- 18 September 2023 -- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told Parliament that the Indian agents' role was under investigation in the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar," read the statement issued by the group.
