India, Feb. 19 -- A second-year Kashmiri MBBS student alleged that he was assaulted and severely ragged by senior students at Al-Ameen Medical College in Karnataka.

The victim was identified as Hameem.

He hails from Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag.

He alleged he was ragged by senior students belonging to the 2019 batch during a cricket match.

The seniors allegedly tried to force him into a car. When he took out his phone to record the incident, they became even more aggressive, reported NDTV.

A group of six to eight seniors later in the night stormed into the Kashmiri student's hostel room and forced him to record a statement of apology.
