India, Sept. 9 -- Voting to elect the new Indian Vice President of India will begin at 10 am, with the ruling NDA's CP Radhakrishnan fighting the contest against the INDIA bloc's Justice B Sudershan Reddy.
According to reports, Indian PM Narendra Modi is expected to cast the first vote and head to inspect flood-hit Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

The voting will continue till 5 pm.
The voting is taking place 50 days after former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar quit the post, citing health reasons.
With NDA's CP Radhakrishnan having the numbers in his favour, he is expected to win the polls without any significant contest from the opposition candidate.
