India, May 6 -- Israel has bombed Yemen's Hodeidah port a day after the Iran-aligned Houthis fired a missile that hit near Tel Aviv's main airport, media reports said.

Visuals showed a massive fire at the port and a cloud of smoke billowing into the sky as a result of the bomb attack.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday vowed to retaliate against the attack by the Houthis near Ben Gurion Airport, who have been firing at Israel and at shipping in the Red Sea.

According to Israel, the attacks by the Houthis come in solidarity with the Palestinians.

Israel's missile defence systems have intercepted most attacks from Yemen, said reports.
