India, Feb. 22 -- Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. is recalling more than 640,000 vehicles in two separate safety actions related to potential engine and throttle issues, according to media reports.
The larger recall covers 323,917 units of the 2023-2025 model year Nissan Rogue SUVs due to a possible bearing failure that could allow hot oil to leak, increasing the risk of an engine fire and loss of drive power, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said, as cited by the New York Post.
The affected vehicles are equipped with a three-cylinder, 1.5-litre KR15DDT variable compression (VC-Turbo) engine, according to the regulator.
