India, June 24 -- At least three people were killed and several others were injured after an Iranian missile hit a residential building in the Southern Israeli city of Be'er Sheva on Tuesday, hours after US President Donald Trump announced that a ceasefire had been reached between the two nations.

Confirming the casualty figure, Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance, and blood bank service, wrote on X: "Following the missile impact site in southern Israel: So far, MDA teams have pronounced the deaths of three people- Two people with moderate injuries have been evacuated to hospital, and approximately six people with mild injuries are being treated at the scene."
